Salvatorian Missionaries in action
The Salvatorian Fathers and Brothers (SDS) – 1200 of them are active in 40 countries, are distributed throughout all the continents. The Salvatorians have strong local roots and almost all of them are born in the countries where they work. The presence of the Salvatorian Missionaries in the South reflects their belief in social justice. They spend their lives with the poor, often in remote places, challenging obstacles and difficulties of all kinds.
Guided by Christian values and inspired by Catholic Social Doctrine, they work for people’s fundamental rights regardless of their gender, race, religion, social background or political conviction.
They have almost 500 young people in training.
The Salvatorian missionaries are tireless workers, like “Fathers in Action” 365 days of the year.
