Zambia
Zambia is a landlocked country in Sub-Saharan Africa with 14 million people living on less than $1 a day. It was a British colony until 1964. Zambia has one of the world’s fastest growing populations with the UN projecting that its population will triple by 2050. However, economic growth and foreign investment have failed to improve the lives of most Zambians, with two-thirds still living in poverty.
